Housing and Relocation

Newly hired faculty and staff members who need to relocate are encouraged to use Brown’s preferred moving provider. This helps ease the cost and hassle of moving your household and leaves you free to focus on finding and settling into a new community. Most new employees are eligible for this benefit. This is just one of several programs designed to help with housing and relocation.

Brown to Brown Home Ownership Program is a program designed to sell Brown-owned residential properties to eligible members of the faculty and staff. This program is intended to help the University attract and retain faculty and staff, provide faculty/staff housing close to campus, place under-utilized properties into productive use, and improve relations with neighbors and the City of Providence.
Brown has a preferred relationship with Residential Properties to provide corporate relocation services to incoming Brown staff and faculty, assisting with their property purchases and related relocation information/resources. The contact information for Residential Properties is listed below, and the website link provides further information about relocation services.
If you are a visiting scholar in need of housing, the Auxiliary Housing office can assist in finding you available housing conveniently located on campus.
