Paid Time Off
Employees receive paid sick time, which can be requested for themselves or certain family members.
Vacation days may be used as they are accrued and are scheduled at the mutual convenience of the supervisor and employee.
Each year, the University recognizes summer hours for University staff. Summer hours begin the day after Memorial Day and end in mid-August. The specific end date will be communicated by University Human Resources in the spring in consideration of the fall academic calendar.
Employees may take paid time off from work to serve on jury duty, to grieve and to attend related services, and for annual military commitments or short-term deployment.
When to request a leave of absence.
