Floating Holiday

Non-union staff who are eligible for paid holidays receive one floating holiday (or equivalent hours) each calendar year. If you are hired after January 1, you will receive your floating holiday in the following calendar year. The floating holiday is prorated for part-time employees based on scheduled hours and length of service.

This time should be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time between the employee and supervisor. It does not carry over from year to year and is not paid out upon separation. The floating holiday can be viewed and requested in the Workday Time Off worklet.

Union employees should refer to their collective bargaining agreement for details about holiday eligibility.
