Separation of Employment
Before Your Last Day
Prior to your departure, you should:
- Provide written notice to your manager, including your reason for leaving and your final working day
- Return University property, such as equipment, keys, ID cards and other materials, to your supervisor
- Contact the Transportation Office to arrange the return of any parking permits
- Confirm your home address in Workday* is up to date to ensure timely delivery of your W-2 and other important documents
- Connect with the Benefits Office at 401-863-2141 at least one week before your last day to discuss benefits and schedule time with a Benefits Specialist
Note: Access to Workday may be unavailable for 24–48 hours following your termination date.
