Legal Resources for Brown-Related International Travel

Brown partners with the immigration law firm Green & Spiegel to provide legal support for eligible employees and students traveling internationally on Brown-related business or programs.

This program is available through May 31, 2026, and will be reassessed at that time.

Eligible travelers may receive:

Pre-Travel Consultation

  • Meeting with an immigration attorney
  • General visa and immigration guidance
  • Assessment of travel-related risk

Post-Travel Support (if needed)

  • Support through an Attorney Accessibility Program
  • Assistance from Green & Spiegel in addressing reentry or travel-related immigration issues

Required Travel Registration

All Brown students and employees (including staff, faculty and postdocs) must register Brown-related international travel in TravelSafe, in accordance with Brown’s Travel Policy.

Additional Support

All Brown community members, regardless of destination, may contact the Office of Global Travel Operations, Risk & Resilience for confidential pre-departure planning assistance.
