Legal Resources for Brown-Related International Travel
Eligibility
Legal assistance is available to employees and students who:
- Are non-U.S. citizens
- Have approval from their department chair or supervisor for Brown-related international travel
- Complete a legal referral form
Legal Services Available
Eligible travelers may receive:
Pre-Travel Consultation
- Meeting with an immigration attorney
- General visa and immigration guidance
- Assessment of travel-related risk
Post-Travel Support (if needed)
- Support through an Attorney Accessibility Program
- Assistance from Green & Spiegel in addressing reentry or travel-related immigration issues
Required Travel Registration
All Brown students and employees (including staff, faculty and postdocs) must register Brown-related international travel in TravelSafe, in accordance with Brown’s Travel Policy.
Additional Support
All Brown community members, regardless of destination, may contact the Office of Global Travel Operations, Risk & Resilience for confidential pre-departure planning assistance.
