Are you looking to connect with colleagues and enhance your skills? We invite you to join one of our Communities of Practice (CoP) at Brown University. Whether you're passionate about event management or interested in project management, these groups offer opportunities for learning, networking, and professional growth. Learn more about CoPs here.

  • Community of Practice for Event Planners: This CoP aims to ensure a high-quality experience for event participants while educating planners on best practices and policies. Led by representatives from various departments, this CoP focuses on sharing resources and strategies to enhance event planning. If you are interested in joining, complete the opt-in form here.
  • Project Management Community of Practice (PMCoP): The PMCoP supports project managers and non-project managers who perform PM-related duties, as well as offers resources for those interested in the field. This community fosters a supportive environment for sharing knowledge and experiences in project management practices. The Talent Development (TD) Book Club is designed to support your journey in professional development, leadership, and personal growth by offering self-directed courses where leading authors delve into their works. These insightful overviews are available through Workday Learning and provide a valuable introduction to the core concepts of each book, all at no cost. This is a great way to get a sense of whether a book resonates with you before committing to the full read. Additionally, you can enhance your learning experience by borrowing physical copies from the Talent Development Lending Library. To facilitate group discussions, we also offer free book discussion templates to help you organize your own book club sessions.
