Service Awards

Each year, Brown celebrates staff who have reached a milestone in their years of service.

Service milestones are acknowledged starting at 5 years of service and continuing every 5 years thereafter (10, 15, 20 years, etc.). At every milestone service award recipients will receive a Years of Service certificate, pin, and letter of recognition and appreciation. We honor and celebrate all Service Award recipients at the annual BEAR Day celebration in March. 

All staff who achieve 10+ years of service during a calendar year can order a gift in the fall through our gift-ordering website. Service award gifts vary each year and are provided by a Brown-approved supplier. The gift order window closes in November and all gifts are shipped out after the Thanksgiving holiday.

All staff who achieved 30+ years of service during the previous calendar year are invited to a special spring luncheon at the President’s House. Hosted by the President, the luncheon honors the hard work and dedication of staff who have given so much time to the university community.
