Service Awards

Each year, Brown recognizes and celebrates staff who reach milestone years of service to the University. Service milestones begin at 5 years and continue in five-year increments (10, 15, 20 years and beyond). At each milestone, recipients receive a Years of Service certificate, commemorative pin and letter of appreciation. All honorees are recognized at the annual BEAR Day celebration in March.

Service Award Gifts

Staff members who reach 10 or more years of service during the calendar year are eligible to select a service award gift in the fall through the online gift portal. Gifts vary each year and are provided by a Brown-approved supplier.

30+ Year Recognition

Staff who reach 30 or more years of service are invited to a special spring luncheon at the President’s House. Hosted by the President, this event honors the extraordinary dedication and long-standing contributions of these community members.
