Leading From Where You Are

Leading From Where You Are (LFWYA) helps individual contributors develop the skills necessary to lead from within their current position.

Program Overview

Through a blended learning experience, participants develop self-awareness, strengthen communication and learn how to increase their impact within their teams. LFWYA includes:

  • Instructor-led sessions
  • Self-directed learning
  • Independent article and video review
  • Group discussion

Together, these components help participants better understand their professional strengths and how they contribute to team success.

Learning Experience

The program includes eight unique instructor-led sessions. Between sessions, participants:

  • Meet in small learning groups
  • Discuss key concepts
  • Apply learning to real workplace situations
  • Complete assigned readings and media in preparation for upcoming sessions

This structure ensures learning is continuous, practical and applied directly to day-to-day work.

Participant Impact

I learned so much about myself and about my learning and communication styles. Knowing my strengths and weaknesses really helped me understand how best to communicate and work together with colleagues of all MBTI types.

LFWYA Participant

My initial goal was to take on more responsibility within my team, and in December I got a promotion, so this course likely helped me make that happen by encouraging me to initially speak up and ask!
