Healthcare Planning
Medicare
Medicare is the federal health insurance program for most individuals age 65 and older. You are encouraged to:
- Learn about eligibility and enrollment timing
- Review coverage options on the official Medicare website
- Attend informational workshops offered through Wellness at Brown
Retiree Health Coverage
If eligible, you may enroll in retiree health plans through BlueCHiP for Medicare Group Preferred. These plans are designed for retirees who are eligible for Medicare Parts A and B. It is designed specifically for retirees whose legal residence is in Rhode Island.

Dental Coverage

Long-term care refers to non-medical assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing or home support. You may want to consider long-term care insurance to help protect retirement savings from potential care costs.
