This self-directed course provides an orientation to Leading From Where You Are (LFWYA), a seven-course program for individual contributors. It covers time management, collaboration, problem-solving, leading without authority, emotional intelligence, and psychological safety.

Important: This module must be completed before beginning any other modules in the program. All remaining courses may be taken in any order.

Emotional Intelligence & Psychological Safety is a practical, interactive course designed to help individual contributors strengthen self-awareness, communicate more effectively, and create an environment where every voice is valued.

Through this course, participants will explore how to encourage open dialogue, support the sharing of ideas, take thoughtful risks, and create a workplace where team members feel comfortable asking questions and acknowledging mistakes.

In today’s matrixed and collaborative organizations, driving projects forward and delivering results often depends less on formal authority and more on the ability to influence, build relationships, and create alignment. This course is a practical, high-impact course designed to help individual contributors build credibility, gain buy-in across teams, and move initiatives forward through collaboration rather than command.

Participants will learn how to map stakeholder networks, build trust-based relationships, develop compelling proposals that connect with diverse priorities, and navigate organizational dynamics to turn ideas into action

In dynamic team environments, the ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently is essential to individual success and effective collaboration. Clear Communications Basics is a practical, interactive session designed to help individual contributors communicate with clarity, organize their thoughts in real time, and build trust through intentional listening and meaningful dialogue.

Participants will learn how to articulate technical or complex ideas concisely during meetings, adapt their communication style for different stakeholders, strengthen active listening skills, and navigate workplace conversations with confidence and composure.

With competing requests, constant notifications, and shifting deadlines, managing time effectively is one of the most critical skills for individual contributors. Time Management and Prioritization is a practical, action-oriented session designed to help team members take control of their workday, protect focus time, and consistently deliver high-impact results while maintaining sustainable work habits.

In this interactive session, participants will learn how to distinguish between urgent tasks and true priorities, create effective personal planning systems, reduce context-switching, and establish clear workplace boundaries to support productivity, focus, and work-life balance.

High-performing teams are built on strong everyday working relationships. Working Well with Others is a practical, highly interactive session designed to help individual contributors strengthen cross-functional collaboration, navigate workplace differences, and build effective partnerships across teams.

Participants will explore how individual work styles influence team dynamics, learn strategies for bridging communication gaps, managing healthy conflict, and fostering a culture of mutual accountability that supports collective success.

In today’s fast-paced work environments, the ability to analyze challenges, solve problems, and navigate continuous change is essential. Problem Solving & Adapting to Change is a practical, action-oriented session designed to help individual contributors move beyond ambiguity, evaluate obstacles systematically, and respond to change with agility and resilience.

In this interactive session, participants will learn how to shift from a reactive mindset to a structured, solution-focused approach. By building problem-solving skills and adaptability strategies, team members will be better equipped to address complex challenges, adjust when priorities shift, and maintain effectiveness during times of change.
