Drop or Withdrawal Process
Before enrolling in any instructor-led offerings, please review the drop or withdrawal process below.
How to Drop or Withdraw from a Course
Need to drop or withdraw from a course? To ensure a smooth process, please follow the guidelines for submitting through Workday Learning:
Timely Drop/Withdrawal Guidelines:
- For a single-session course: Submit your drop or withdrawal at least three calendar days before the course begins.
- For a multi-session course: Submit your drop or withdrawal at least ten calendar days before the first session.
Your withdrawal must be officially reflected as "Dropped" in Workday Learning. For step-by-step instructions on how to initiate this, please refer to the Drop Course Workday Job Aid.
In Case of an Emergency:
We understand emergencies happen. If you can't drop a course within the recommended timeframe, please contact us at LDEteam@brown.edu. We're here to help.
